The Rehmeyer Mill

Whether you’re looking for custom milled flooring or mouldings, we have the capabilities to manufacture any wood product in any quantity.   Some of the processes and equipment used in our 10,000 square foot mill are described on this page. You will see our “attention to detail” in every step of the process!

millwork-step1Step 1

The first process in the mill is to produce straight edges and uniform width.

This is done on a RAIMANN optimizing gang ripsaw to ensure straightness in the finished product.

millwork-step2Step 2

Next, the lumber goes to a Weinig P23E Moulder where the lumber is precision milled to the desired profile on all four sides.

The five heads of the Weinig P23E Moulder spin at 6000 RPM to achieve a sanded like finish.

millwork-step3Step 3

All tooling for the Weinig P23E Moulder is ground and sharpened in house on a Weinig 960 profile grinder.

If you are having a moulding reproduced, this is where the cutting knives are made and sharpened to provide precision cuts.

Step 4

millwork-step4The milled product is then graded and cut to length at the Grecon Dimter optimizing chop saw.

This computer-controlled saw cuts parts from a programmed list to achieve maximum yield and accurate lengths.

Step 5

millwork-step5The last step before packaging is to profile the ends (Tongue & Groove). The Fruilmac Randomat is capable of machining parts of different lengths up to twelve feet long.

Computerization ensures stock is square clamped and flawlessly machined.
