Red Birch is a treasure that’s often overlooked when it comes to hardwood flooring. It has the same beautiful, shimmering grain as Cherry, but Red Birch is harder and doesn’t darken as significantly as Cherry. Birch is generally separated during the grading process at the saw mill, and Red Birch is generally known as being mostly heart wood. It features sound knots and any other character marks naturally found in this wood.

Red Birch – Legacy Collection
The Legacy Collection Red Birch is another species that is often used in Tuscan themed projects. Red Birch is similar to a Cherry grain and color but doesn’t darken as much over time. We’ve shown it here with our Smoke Accent Color, Standard Soft Edges, Optional Time Worn Pegs, and Tung Oil finish. The Accent Color highlights the natural character of the Red Birch while the Tung Oil enhances the golden hues of the wood.
